From October 1st to 5th, there will be a number of events taking place in Boulder to mark the
University of Colorado's (CU) Homecoming Weekend.
As well as the big college football game - CU Buffaloes will be taking on the Texas Longhorns
at Folsom Field - there will also be a parade through the hill district followed by a pep rally for
the whole town.
In honor of America's Olympic gold haul, the theme of this year's festivities is 'Go for the
Gold'. There will be a free concert at Frarrand Field on October 3rd, which has featured bands such
as The Pharcyde, The Motet and Tea Leaf Green in previous years.
The university's Philadanco Dance Company will be performing leaps, spins, stretches, kicks,
and pirouettes at the Macky Auditorium on October 2nd while the Pearl Street Stampede - a street
party with a marching band - kick-starts the party before the game.
Anyone wishing to attend these festivities can book into a Boulder hotel for the duration of
the week.
